A K-12 occupational therapy position is available in Napoleonville, LA, to support students with moderate to severe disabilities ranging from ages 3 to 22. This contract runs from December 1, 2025, through May 22, 2026, with a workweek of 37.5 hours. The role involves serving approximately 71 students across six schools, including five elementary schools and one high school.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support student development.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services.
- Adhere to all licensing requirements and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana license as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working with children and young adults in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively across multiple school sites.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities.
