Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed to provide maternity leave coverage across multiple school locations in the Illinois area. This contract opportunity serves K-12 students within special education programs focusing on structured learning environments for children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.
Locations:
- Holmes Primary School, Clarendon Hills, IL (4 classrooms)
- Anne M Jeans Elementary School, Willowbrook, IL (2 classrooms)
- Kingsley Elementary, Downers Grove, IL (1 classroom)
- Westmont Jr. High, Westmont, IL (2 classrooms)
Contract Duration:
- Approximately late January 2026 through early June 2026
- Start dates vary depending on leave assignments, with the contract covering the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year
Schedule and Caseload:
- Full-time hours typically between 35 to 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload includes 3-4 self-contained classrooms per SLP
- Each classroom houses 6-8 students requiring specialized speech and language services
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
- Active Illinois Speech License
- Candidates with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFYs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered
- Experience working within structured learning environments or with children on the autism spectrum is advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services tailored to students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities
- Collaborate with educational teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress regularly
