Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services to K-12 students within an Eastern Colorado itinerant program. This leave contract position runs from January 5, 2026, through March 23, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. The role supports multiple school districts, offering a diverse caseload and flexibility for certain administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across several locations including Burlington, Limon, Flagler, Woodrow, Hugo, Anton, and Karval, CO.
- Manage caseloads ranging from direct therapy with up to 13 students to participating in IEP meetings and documentation.
- Complete paperwork, planning, and IEP meeting participation remotely if preferred; however, in-person presence is preferred to best meet student needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student goals and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain compliance with all professional and district standards.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Ability to serve a wide geographic region including itinerant service delivery.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating care and documentation.
- Flexibility to provide remote administrative support alongside onsite therapy services.
- Previous experience with IEP process and school team collaboration.
