Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Occupational Therapist needed for a leave contract position serving K-12 students across multiple schools in Eastern Colorado. This role is based in Limon, CO, with a diverse caseload spread among various schools and districts in the region. The position offers a unique mix of onsite work and opportunities to complete paperwork, planning, and IEP meetings remotely, providing flexibility while primarily requiring in-person presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students across Burlington Elementary, Limon High and Middle Schools, Limon Elementary, and various other districts including Arriba/Flagler, Woodlin, Genoa/Hugo, Arickaree, and Karval.
- Manage a caseload that includes direct therapy and collaboration with educational staff and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
- Travel itinerantly between multiple school locations within Eastern Colorado to deliver student-centered care.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure applicable to the state.
- Experience working in school-based settings with K-12 student populations.
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to handle documentation and planning from remote locations if necessary.
- Willingness to travel within the itinerant service area.
