A contracted Occupational Therapist position is available to support K-12 students across multiple school districts in Eastern Colorado. This itinerant role runs from January 5, 2026, through March 23, 2026, providing essential therapy services during a leave coverage period. The position requires onsite presence with flexibility for some paperwork, planning, and IEP meetings to be completed remotely if necessary.
Responsibilities include delivering occupational therapy interventions to students with diverse needs across a variety of schools, working collaboratively with educators and caregivers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintaining thorough documentation. The caseload spans numerous locations, including Burlington, Limon, Flagler, Woodrow, Hugo, Anton, and Karval, with student counts ranging from 0 to 13 per site.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in multiple school districts within the Eastern Colorado region.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Prepare and maintain IEP documentation, reports, and meet compliance standards.
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in student planning activities.
- Travel regularly between assigned schools to deliver onsite therapy.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license and certification.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in school-based settings.
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy interventions and educational regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse and itinerant caseload independently.
Location: Ramah, CO, with travel to surrounding districts including Burlington, Limon, Flagler, Woodrow, Hugo, Anton, and Karval.
