A full-time Social Worker opportunity is available in a K-12 public charter school environment serving diverse student populations across Lake County, Illinois. This contract position runs through June 12, 2026, providing crucial social and emotional support services to students on multiple campuses including Des Plaines and Waukegan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and maintain detailed case records in accordance with school policies
- Facilitate connections to community resources to support student well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support academic success and safety
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Social Work
- Valid State or District School Social Work Endorsement/Licensure (PEL)
- Prior experience working as a school social worker preferred
