Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in High Point, NC, this K-12 school-based Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) position offers a contract role for the current school year (CSY), with a start date as soon as possible through January 31, 2026. The role is ideal for an NC-licensed SLP with ECATS experience who is eager to work onsite in a dynamic educational setting supporting diverse student communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services to students exhibiting articulation, language, voice, and fluency difficulties
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and related professionals to develop and implement individual education plans
- Maintain thorough documentation, including Medicaid billing profiles and therapy notes, using designated systems such as ECATS and Infinite Campus
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostics to inform therapy plans
- Coordinate and organize service programs across schools, ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical standards
- Promote ongoing professional development and maintain effective interpersonal relations within the educational community
- Supervise speech-language assistants and clinical fellows as applicable
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40-45 students with a schedule of 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active North Carolina license (G License from NC Department of Public Instruction required)
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Proficient in ECATS and Infinite Campus systems
- Experience working onsite within a school environment servicing K-12 students
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
Additional Information:
- This position requires onsite work and does not currently allow for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Engagement with exceptional childrens programs and close coordination with school administration and program leadership
- Contract duration: Immediate start through January 31, 2026
