Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized occupational therapy services in a dynamic K-8 school setting, supporting four schools within the district. This itinerant role involves travel between Cunningham Creek Elementary, Hickory Creek Elementary, Valley Ridge Academy, and Pine Island Academy, delivering targeted interventions primarily focused on makeup minutes for students. The position spans 12 weeks, with potential extension through the final six weeks of the school year, offering a unique opportunity to impact diverse student populations.
Location: St. Augustine, FL (On-site only)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students aged K-8 across four school sites
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and district standards
- Manage caseload effectively while traveling between assigned schools
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience working within school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student populations
- Reliable transportation for itinerant responsibilities
Position Details:
- Contract role for the current school year with a start date of January 5, 2025, through March 27, 2026
