A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed for a contract position providing support within elementary school settings. This role focuses on delivering therapy services on-site at two elementary schools located in Tacoma, WA. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 16, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students under school settings.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop individualized therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and school district regulations.
- Be present onsite fifteen minutes before and after the school day to support related tasks.
- Manage a caseload primarily at Elmhurst and Brookdale Elementary Schools, with daily hours from 9:35 AM to 4:05 PM.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State licensure as a COTA or OT is required.
- Must have completed fingerprinting through OSPI.
- COTA candidates must have previous experience working in a school environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to support coordinated care.
- Commitment to full-time onsite work.
