A K-12 school in Lakewood, WA, is seeking a qualified speech-language pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role offers the opportunity to support students across all grade levels in developing their communication skills within an educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC preferred)
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among diverse student populations
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
- Knowledge of K-12 curriculum and evidence-based therapeutic techniques
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students K-12
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student learning and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and professional development as required
