This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position serving K-12 students in a California school district. The role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services within an onsite school setting. This contract position is ideal for candidates with experience in California public schools who are prepared to manage a substantial caseload.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; California SLP credential preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in California school settings
- At least 1 year of experience using SEIS (Special Education Information System)
- Experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and facilitators is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage high caseloads and referral processes
- Open to both fully licensed SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Onsite presence required (no remote work)
Location:
- Chowchilla, CA within a K-12 educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60-65 students, including 25-30 students receiving speech-only services
- Collaborate with school staff to support student progress and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Supervise SLPAs as assigned to support therapy delivery and data collection
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
