Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time school psychologist position is available at an elementary school in Eagle River, AK. This contract role runs through the current school year, with work scheduled onsite only. The ideal candidate will hold Alaska certification and licensure, bringing expertise in supporting elementary students within an approximate caseload of 1:600.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support student well-being and academic success
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to address student needs
- Maintain detailed records and reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Current Alaska certification and licensure as a school psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 600 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to onsite full-time work (37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day)
