An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide services within an elementary school setting in Cicero, IL. This contract role supports students throughout the school year (NSY), delivering specialized therapy aimed at enhancing their educational experience and functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families.
- Provide direct therapy interventions to support students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
- Collaborate with school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with relevant state licensure.
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with elementary-aged children.
- Strong understanding of educational goals and regulations related to school therapy services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to develop creative interventions tailored to individual student needs.
