An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support a K-12 public high school in Warren, MI. This contract role will begin as soon as possible and continue through the 2026 school year, providing approximately 15 hours per week of onsite services. The position specifically supports the schools occupational therapy program to help students achieve their individual goals in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to high school students based on individual education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related professionals to coordinate student care.
- Provide interventions that support access to school activities and academic success.
- Comply with all school policies and state regulations regarding occupational therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license eligible for practice in Michigan.
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings (K-12).
- Ability to work onsite exclusively; no telepractice.
- Client requires a licensed OT; COTA candidates will not be considered.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with students and school personnel.
