Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A position is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting. This role is based in Sterling Heights, MI, and focuses on delivering occupational therapy services to students, ensuring they receive tailored interventions to support their educational and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized occupational therapy plans for students.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Utilize best practices to promote students fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with school staff and families.
- Provide services exclusively as an Occupational Therapist (COTA candidates are not eligible for this role).
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and related therapeutic approaches.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while working onsite.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support student success.

Schedule: 15 hours per week, onsite
Duration: Contract through the current school year (CSY)
