Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity for a School Psychologist is available in the Plainfield, NJ area. This position involves providing psychological services to support the educational and emotional development of students within a school setting, with some travel required to multiple school locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and assessments to identify students' learning and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing academic or behavioral challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend interventions
- Monitor and document student growth and make data-driven recommendations for support strategies
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in elementary and secondary school settings
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing tools and assessment techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Ability to travel to various school sites as required
