A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized support in an elementary school setting located in Wellton, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with young students, helping them develop essential skills to thrive in their educational environment throughout the school year on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students to identify individual needs.
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to improve students fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to integrate therapy goals within the classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional recommendations to support student success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and certification.
- Previous experience providing OT services within a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and IDEA regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage caseload independently and adapt interventions to diverse learner needs.
