A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary school students in Olathe, KS. This position focuses on providing direct speech and language therapy services within a school setting for the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans for elementary-aged children
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and support individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines related to special education services
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, preferably elementary schools
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders affecting school-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseload and work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
