Located in Lenexa, KS, this position offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on supporting young students communication development, addressing speech and language disorders, and collaborating with educators and families to enhance educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy.
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to student support.
Qualifications:
- Valid CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience providing SLP services within a school environment, ideally with elementary-aged students.
- Familiarity with educational standards and special education regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain detailed records.
- Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kansas.
