A school-based speech-language pathologist is needed to cover a maternity leave in an elementary school setting near Denton, Texas (Lewisville area). This full-time contract position involves providing in-person therapy services to students in grades K-5 with a caseload of approximately 40 students. The schedule includes two half days at different school locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide individualized speech-language therapy to pediatric students in early childhood and elementary school settings.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with school policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credential, with CCC-SLP preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in schools, especially early childhood and elementary students (K-5).
- Strong knowledge of speech-language development and disorders common in pediatric settings.
