Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a bilingual School Psychologist fluent in Russian, serving an elementary school student with special needs. This role is based in the Hazleton, PA area and runs from mid-October 2025 through early June 2026.
Key responsibilities involve conducting evaluations for a 5-year-old student diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, who is an English Language Learner with primary Russian language skills. The caseload consists of one student requiring comprehensive assessments in speech, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Collaboration with a trained 1:1 paraprofessional responsible for feeding, toileting, and repositioning will be essential. Initial support during the student's transition in late October and early November may also involve direct assistance with feeding and repositioning alongside the para.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, full time, with up to 5 hours of focused evaluation services weekly. Duties center exclusively on conducting thorough evaluations and supporting individualized educational planning to meet the student's unique needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as a School Psychologist
- Bilingual proficiency in Russian, with strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with students requiring special education services, especially those with physical disabilities and limited English proficiency
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including speech, PT, OT professionals, and paraprofessionals
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational and developmental evaluations
