A contract opportunity is available for a bilingual School Psychologist fluent in Russian to support an elementary school student with special needs via telehealth in Jim Thorpe, PA. This role involves working up to 5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a full-time schedule flexibility.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations tailored for a 5-year-old student diagnosed with cerebral palsy and identified as an English Language Learner (ELL). The student primarily communicates in Russian, requiring assessments in speech, physical therapy (PT), and occupational therapy (OT). Collaboration with a trained one-on-one paraprofessional for feeding, toileting, and repositioning may also be necessary during the initial phase of service delivery in late October through early November.
Key qualifications and experience sought:
- Current licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Proficiency in Russian with strong bilingual communication skills.
- Experience conducting specialized evaluations, especially in speech, PT, and OT.
- Ability to work effectively with young children with cerebral palsy and complex medical needs.
- Familiarity with telehealth service delivery and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with paraprofessionals and educational staff.
This contract commences on October 20, 2025, and concludes on June 5, 2026. Only evaluation services will be provided under this position. The caseload includes a single student expected to register in October/November.
