Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapists (PTs) for a part-time, school-based contract role in Issaquah, WA for the Extended School Year (ESY). This opportunity offers a rewarding and flexible way to make a difference in students lives during the summer months.
Position Overview:
As a School-Based Physical Therapist during ESY, youll play a crucial role in supporting students with physical disabilities by helping them maintain or progress toward their mobility goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will work as a collaborative partner within the student support team to ensure educational access and physical development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students functional motor skills and physical therapy needs.
Develop and implement individualized PT treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals.
Provide direct physical therapy services and document progress regularly.
Collaborate with special education staff, general educators, and families.
Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for school-based services.
Qualifications:
Valid Washington State Physical Therapist License.
Must meet all state and district requirements to work in public schools.
Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Pediatric or school-based experience is a plus.
