This role includes support from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and offers an opportunity to work collaboratively in a student-focused environment.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following local and state certification requirements to be considered:

Active Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)

Special Services Provider license with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE)

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain
-
Prior experience in a school-based setting, preferably at the middle school level

Familiarity with supervising and collaborating with SLPAs

Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting in accordance with Colorado state regulations
Typical Responsibilities:

Evaluate students to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders

Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
-
Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
-
Supervise and collaborate with an SLPA to ensure effective service delivery
-
Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
-
Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and school-wide initiatives
-
Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and support staff to promote student success
