Job Duties:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
- Providing direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to students.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
- Participating in IEP meetings and other school-based team meetings.
- Providing consultation and training to school staff and families.
Compensation:
For this contract licensed school-based professional position, the average hourly rate is $40-$50 based on experience.
Requirements:
- Active professional license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida is required (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be willing to travel over 75 miles from home for this assignment.
