Job Duties
As a school-based SLP, you will work with K12 students to assess and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Youll collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress toward student goals. Your role will be both diagnostic and therapeutic, helping students build the communication skills they need for academic and social success.
Requirements
Applicants must hold an active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license and meet all state and district certification requirements. ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred, though Clinical Fellows may also be considered if applicable. Prior experience in a school setting is a plus.
