Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is hiring a School Social Worker to support students in a Ypsilanti, MI school district for the 20252026 school year. The Social Worker will provide direct counseling and support services, collaborate with school staff and families, and help students overcome social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to succeed academically and personally.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required

Must hold either:

SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work, OR

MDE School Social Worker Credential
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong counseling, communication, and problem-solving skills
Key Duties
Provide individual and group counseling to support students social-emotional development
Assess student needs and develop intervention strategies
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address barriers to learning
Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as required
Connect families with community resources and support services
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district and state regulations
