Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to support students in Plymouth, MI, for the current school year. This is a full-time onsite position working with K12 students to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing support that promotes academic, social, and emotional success.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect counseling services to students in accordance with their IEPs and 504 Plans.

Support students with social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs through individual and group interventions.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective student support strategies.

Conduct social histories, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and intervention planning.

Participate in IEP meetings, write progress notes, and maintain accurate compliance documentation.

Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside community resources.

Assist in crisis situations, providing de-escalation and immediate support when needed.
Qualifications:

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW required).

Active Michigan School Social Worker License/Approval.

Prior school-based experience strongly preferred (K12).

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work with diverse populations and manage multiple caseload needs.
