This school-based position offers the opportunity to serve diverse student populations while providing critical speech and language support in both English and Spanish.
About the Role
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct speech therapy services to bilingual students. This temporary yet impactful role emphasizes student engagement, family collaboration, and continuity of care during a colleagues leave period.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct therapy sessions with bilingual (English/Spanish) students under SLP supervision

Support implementation of IEP goals and targeted speech-language interventions

Maintain accurate bilingual documentation and student progress records

Collaborate with educators, parents, and school personnel to reinforce therapy outcomes

Facilitate culturally responsive communication supports in classrooms
Qualifications & Requirements

Active Texas SLPA License (or eligibility)

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required

Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
