School Psychologist Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret evaluation results

Support students through individual and group counseling, intervention, and behavior management

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs

Provide consultation to staff on strategies for supporting students emotional and academic growth

Monitor and document student progress and intervention effectiveness

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and Section 504
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychology endorsement required

Knowledge of IDEA, FAPE, and other applicable education laws

Previous school-based experience preferred

Must meet all state and district background clearance requirements
