A dedicated Social Worker is needed to support students in a K-12 school setting in Arlington Heights, IL. This contract position for the current school year offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and social success by addressing their emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop intervention plans and support strategies for students
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans to promote students' well-being and academic success
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide resources for families needing additional support
- Advocate for students needs within the school system and connect families with outside community resources
Qualifications:
- Licensed or credentialed Social Worker with experience in school settings
- Proven ability to work effectively with children and adolescents across diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with school personnel, families, and community partners
- Knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and school-based interventions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage caseloads effectively
