Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district in Destin, Floridato hire a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the current school year. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students overcome communication challenges and thrive both academically and socially.
Position Overview:
The Speech Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across assigned grade levels. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring each student receives the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings, evaluations, and remediation for speech and language needs.

Hold parent-staff conferences to review assessment results, explain findings, and provide actionable recommendations.

Serve as a resource for students, parents, teachers, and staff regarding speech and language disorders and available interventions.

Maintain accurate documentation and prepare required reports for compliance and administrative purposes.

Develop and implement individualized therapy programs based on student needs.

Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations for student goals.

Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Administrator for Special Services.
Requirements:

Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Active Louisiana SLP licensure/certification.

Previous school-based experience preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
