Position Details:

Position Overview:
The School Counselor will play an integral role in fostering a positive learning environment through student guidance and intervention services. This position focuses on supporting student well-being by addressing academic concerns, social-emotional needs, and college/career readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support student mental health and academic development.
- Assist students in creating and following personalized academic and career plans that align with their interests and goals.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for students facing behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the holistic success of each student.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide referrals to appropriate resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture.
Requirements:
- Active Missouri School Counselor License or equivalent state certification (required)
- Masters degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Previous experience in a school-based counseling role preferred
- Strong communication, crisis management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families in a collaborative team environment
