Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time contract role is designed for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 public school setting in Kansas City, KS. The position runs through the current school year, with an anticipated duration until May 22, 2026, encompassing approximately 37.5 hours per week. The work environment includes several schools, such as Argentine Middle, Stony Point North Elementary, Cambers Academy (an alternative school), and Emerson Elementary.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students in developing essential functional skills for daily activities and academic success
- Address sensory processing needs through individualized interventions
- Support social-emotional growth and self-regulation in students
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement appropriate therapy plans
- Monitor progress and modify strategies as necessary to meet each student's needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
- Knowledge of interventions for K-12 student populations
- Ability to handle diverse student needs, including sensory and social-emotional challenges
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
