Providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 school setting in Chicago, IL, this contract position offers an opportunity to support students developmental and functional needs throughout the school year. The role focuses on delivering effective OT interventions to help students improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities essential for academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on student evaluations and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to enhance student participation and performance in academic and social environments
- Conduct functional assessments, document progress, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Provide consultative support and training to school staff regarding OT strategies and accommodations
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and educational standards
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
- Familiarity with K-12 school environments and related special education regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
