Seeking two full-time Social Workers to support K-12 students within a vibrant school community located in Ypsilanti, MI. These contract positions run from ASAP to June 5, 2026, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on elementary and high school students well-being and academic success.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive social work services tailored to the unique needs of students and families.
- Collaborating with educators, administrators, and community resources to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Developing and implementing intervention plans to support student development and success.
- Conducting individual and group counseling sessions and crisis intervention as needed.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with school policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work or an MDE School Social Worker Credential.
- Experience working with K-12 populations in educational settings is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while providing individualized support.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
