This opportunity is seeking two licensed Social Workers to support K-12 students in a full-time, contract role located in Ypsilanti, MI. Immediate openings are available for the current school year, running through June 5, 2026. One position will serve elementary students, and the other will support the high school population. Both roles are onsite and ideal for professionals passionate about making a positive impact in school communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop appropriate intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and assist with crisis intervention or referrals to outside resources
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and confidentiality requirements
- Support student success by fostering a safe and inclusive educational environment
Qualifications:
- Valid SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work or MDE School Social Worker Credential is required
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage caseload effectively while prioritizing student needs
- Commitment to student advocacy and culturally responsive practices
