Minimum Requirements: To work as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in California, candidates must complete an approved SLPA program, hold state licensure through the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board, and meet supervision requirements. Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

Maintain accurate session notes and track student progress.

Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student communication needs.

Prepare therapy activities and support materials as directed.
