Located in Morgan Hill, CA, this opportunity is for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a K-12 school setting. This contract position spans the current school year and requires dedication to supporting students communication development under the guidance of licensed speech-language pathologists.
Key responsibilities include maintaining compliance with regulatory and reimbursement standards, managing clerical tasks such as record keeping and documentation, and assisting with preparing therapy materials and equipment maintenance. Participation in IEP meetings or planning sessions is expected when appropriate. Additionally, the role involves informal documentation and data collection to help monitor and ensure program quality throughout the school year.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid California SLPA license
- Ability to maintain detailed anecdotal notes, charts, and student progress data
- Experience assisting in therapy material preparation and equipment upkeep
- Participation in IEP meetings and familiarity with school-based speech therapy processes
