Support speech-language pathologists in a K-12 school setting within a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to student success through hands-on assistance and administrative support. The role focuses on maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting therapy sessions, and facilitating effective communication within the educational team.
Location: Watsonville, CA
Duration: Contract through 6/4/26
Schedule: Full time, 30 hours per week
Setting: Onsite in a K-12 school
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and reimbursement requirements
- Perform clerical duties including record keeping, anecdotal notes, charts, and student progress data management
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining therapy equipment
- Participate in IEP meetings or planning sessions as appropriate
- Collect and document informal data to monitor program quality and effectiveness
- Support speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services effectively
- Utilize bilingual skills to enhance communication and support, highly preferred
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license
- Experience working in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and data collection
- Ability to work collaboratively with speech-language pathologists, educators, and families
- Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to meet the needs of diverse student populations
