Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is available at a K-12 school in Salinas, CA. The assignment runs through the current school year until June 4, 2026, providing support within a structured educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reimbursement requirements.
- Perform clerical tasks including maintaining anecdotal notes, charts, and tracking student progress data.
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and upkeep of equipment.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings or planning sessions as appropriate.
- Support informal documentation and data collection to monitor program quality.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff; bilingual candidates are highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Valid California SLPA license.
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational or clinical settings.
- Strong organizational skills for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to collaborate with speech pathologists, educators, and families.
- Bilingual language skills are strongly desired to support diverse student needs.
