Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address student needs

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support communication goals

Provide direct therapy services and monitor progress toward established objectives

Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Current Oregon SLP license or eligibility for licensure required

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Oregon school districts
