School Psychologist Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs

Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based interventions

Support students academic, behavioral, and emotional development

Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings and provide data-driven recommendations

Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to special education services
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Current Oregon School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Oregon school districts
