Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Conduct evaluations and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth

Track and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to therapy plans

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Georgia SLP license required; CCC-SLP preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Georgia school districts
