A K-12 school in Lake Wales, FL is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide contract services for the current school year (CSY). This role involves supporting students with speech and language needs across various grade levels in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-12 students following individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and formal evaluations to identify student communication challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations for student support.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid state licensure as an SLP.
- Experience working within school settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and educators.
