A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for maternity leave coverage in an elementary school setting located in Andover, MN. This contract opportunity offers a chance to support students communication needs with a focus on virtual and in-person service delivery options. Maternity leave assignments require licensed professionals holding Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota Education Certification. The role is not open to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, therapy, and consultative services for elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to promote student progress
- Maintain documentation and data to meet compliance standards
- Manage caseloads consistent with state regulations, including virtual service provisions
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathology license with a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) strongly preferred
- Hold a valid Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota Education Certificate
- Experience working with elementary school populations
- Availability to provide virtual services as part of the caseload, with knowledge of MN work hour restrictions for virtual clinicians
- Commitment to professional and ethical standards in speech-language pathology practice
Work Schedule and Locations:
- Work hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Start and end dates vary depending on maternity leave schedules:
Position 1: January 5, 2026 March 29, 2026 (.4 virtual in Champlin Park area)
Position 2: January 28, 2026 March 16, 2026 (.2 virtual in Blaine area)
