A contract Occupational Therapist opportunity is available to support K-12 students in an elementary school setting located in Princess Anne, MD. This position runs through the current school year, ending June 10, 2026, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible. The role involves providing occupational therapy services within a school environment to support students' educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored for students in a K-12 school.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and compliance records.
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills to facilitate classroom participation.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials appropriate for school-based practice.
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and educational environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with professional judgment.
