A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support a vibrant preschool program in Billerica, MA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a diverse elementary school environment, serving students with moderate to severe disabilities and those who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Location: Billerica, MA
Program: Preschool within elementary school setting
Duration: Contract through December 23, 2025, with potential extension to June 16, 2026
Schedule: Approximately 6 hours/day, 4 days/week, with the possibility of 5 days/week (up to 30 hours)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services to preschool students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Implement AAC strategies to support communication development
- Manage a caseload that will begin lighter and grow to approximately 30 students over the school year
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and monitor student goals
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts SLP license required
- Open to Speech-Language Pathologists in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience with AAC and supporting students with complex learning needs highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
