Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a pre-school program serving children with moderate to severe disabilities and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs. This contract position is based in the Boston, MA area, specifically within an elementary school setting.
Location:
Boston, MA (elementary school environment, serving pre-school students)
Position Details:
- Contract duration through 12/23/2025 with a possible extension to 6/16/2026
- Approximately 24 hours per week (6 hours per day, 4 days a week) with potential to increase to 30 hours if working 5 days/week
- Caseload will grow over time, expected to reach around 30 students by year-end
- Ideal for SLPs with experience supporting moderate to severe disabilities and AAC users
- Open to SLP Clinical Fellows (CFs) with active Massachusetts SLP certification
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts SLP license/certificate required
- Experience working with students with complex learning needs, including AAC users
- Previous experience in pre-school or school-based settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively with a varied caseload that expands over time
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy services to a diverse pre-school caseload
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create individualized treatment plans
- Utilize AAC tools and techniques to support students communication development
- Adapt services as students needs evolve throughout the school year
