A Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide support at a middle school location in Spotsylvania, VA. This contract role is scheduled from mid-March through the end of the school year, with the potential for renewal due to typical summer personnel changes. The position involves onsite work within a public school environment, serving a caseload of approximately 50 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist licensure is required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Experience working within a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language assessments and intervention strategies appropriate for school-age children.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while collaborating with educators and families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students with communication disorders.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer professional expertise on communication development.
